This is an oil pastel piece i created to experiment with oil pastels; a media i am not too familiar with. I found this piece challenging yet enjoyable. I noticed that you could scratch into the oil pastels to create unique textures and add in highlights which look interesting. I found colour matching difficult with the limited colour pallet i had. Therefore I tried blending multiple colours together and I liked how the oil pastels and this technique created a more naturalistic effect.
